A wise old friend of mine once said that the Alpine air is like breathing Champagne. I love this idea and couldn't agree more! The mountain environment is my favourite place to be, it's so refreshing and breathtaking at the same time.
During this trip, I hiked around Zermatt and the famous Matterhorn, following beautiful hiking trails and staying in cosy mountain refuges. It is fair to say this is the most picturesque location I have ever hiked in, which I hope to be able to return to one day in the not too distant future.
